£20K to Charity of the Year
Doorways were delighted to present a cheque for £20,000 to our charity partner for 2018/2019, AutismNI. As part of the MacNaughton Blair Group this fantastic amount was raised over the past year in partnership with both MacBlair & Watershed Bathrooms & Tiles. Fundraising activities throughout the year included, static cycles in store, coffee mornings, Skydive, Abseil, zipline and climbing Ben Nevis, they certainly kept themselves busy. Autism NI CEO, Kerry Boyd said: “A massive thank you to all the staff who have supported Autism NI over the past year. The sum of £20K that you have raised is overwhelming and as a charity we’re absolutely delighted to be able to put this money to good use in supporting the autism community with our services. With the rate being 1 in 30 children diagnosed with autism our services are more crucial now than ever, so thank you very much.”
Head of Marketing for MacNaughton Blairr, Julie Carson said “It has been an absolute pleasure, and a lot of fun, partnering with AutismNI this year. Our initial target was £10K, so we are delighted to have doubled that. This amazing amount would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of both colleagues and customers who really through themselves into every activity presented to them. For this I offer a huge thankyou”
Sarah-Jayne Cassells, Corporate Fundraising Manager for AutismNI also visited all the MacBlair & Watershed stores, along with Elaine Feenan, MacBlair POS Manager, to thank the teams. Looks like their roadtrip was a lot of fun!
